Sri Gopalaswamy Theertha was a staunch follower of his guru Sri Sridhara Theertha. He had a good knowledge about Sri Padmanabha Theertha's works -- 'Sanyaya Ratnavali' and 'Sattarkadeepavali'. He reserved most of his time for teaching the students.
For about 22 years. Later he handed the Ashram to one of his favourite disciples and named him Sri Ramachandra Theertha and entered Brindavan near that of Sri Sripadaraja on Shravana shudha poornima
